Luxor one day private
On a private day tour to Luxor, you will get to know the city of palaces, the former city of the pharaohs: Nowhere in Egypt are witnesses of the glorious past as densely packed as here. As a small village called Wasset, Luxor's history stretches back to the year 2000 BC. its beginning. Huge temples and immaculate works of art still bear witness to the size and power of ancient Thebes, the magnificent capital of a bygone world empire - a cultural and economic center at the same time.
Luxor trip to the Valley of the Kings
After crossing the Nile from east to west, you will find yourself in the Valley of the Kings. Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled for almost a generation, chose a truly beautiful location for her terraced temple - a masterpiece of the time.
Day trip from Hurghada to Luxor
The fairytale Colossi of Memnon are carved into the mountain massif above the Valley of the Kings. The natural colors of the various wall paintings and reliefs, which were created 3,000 years ago and which you can admire for yourself, are remarkable.
Luxor day trip
The day trip to Luxor also includes a visit to the Temple of Karnak. The Karnak Temple is by far the largest temple complex in Egypt and the most important place of worship from the time of the pharaohs. It took over 2,000 years to build. The ram figures, also known as the Avenue of Sphinxes, are lined up for you. After the first pylon, you will find the Hall of Columns in the vestibule with its 134 columns with relief fittings. You will pass standing obelisks to reach the sanctuary. Next to it is the Holy Lake, which was used for the ritual washing of the priests and temple utensils.

The tour's majestic sights were very well organized with a tour guide who had extensive knowledge. The tour operator Europa Reisen was extremely helpful and professional in fulfilling our wishes. A very special thank you goes to Memo our tour guide who helped us a lot and answered all our questions. We look forward to returning to Egypt and our next tour with Berliner Reisen.

It was a fantastic day and our guide Gada gave us a wealth of information and details about the history and culture of the temples and tombs in ancient Egypt. We really enjoyed the trip and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the history of Egypt in more detail - Gada is the guide.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Gada, our guide. She was competent, punctual, reliable and looked after us like a careful mother. Overall, the trip was worth it. Big praise for Gada.
Dominik Rank
Great tour of Luxor and our guide was an archaeologist who did a fantastic job of explaining the history. It's worth booking this as you can see the main sites in Luxor within a day with a guided private tour.
Emely Kammann
It was a very enjoyable day as they were kind enough to tell us about the history and the buildings. They were also very friendly and made my trip worry free. Thank you very much.

I would definitely recommend a private day tour to Luxor with a private Egyptologist. You will then have everything private and full flexibility. Thank you very much

Ragab was an incredibly good guide. She knew how to explain everything very well and was able to answer every question - really every question - really well. Highly recommended.

Gada was a brilliant guide - she was happy and patient with us all day, made sure we were hydrated and safe, and took us to a wonderful place for lunch. I asked dozens of random little questions and Gada was equally keen to answer them all. We learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our driver was absolutely lovely and we felt very safe driving us around Luxor. Highly recommended!

Very good service and attention, the only detail is that they could improve communication, the tour included lunch and they did not notify us

A good experience, the attitude was very good throughout the process, the car was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was sufficient. There is no additional guided consumption~, very nice!

Great trip to Luxor. We, a family with 2 children (12 and 10), were picked up by our two drivers almost on time at 4:50. There wasn't much to see until the first break after two hours, so we were able to catch up on some sleep. Later on the trip, one of our drivers between Qena and Luxor told us a lot about rural life in this region. Thanks to the early pick-up time, we got to the Karnak Temple before most of the other tourists. There we met our excellent German-speaking tour guide Kalaf and were able to take a look at the most beautiful and interesting points in the temple. Afterwards, at Kalaf's suggestion, we went for an early lunch in a restaurant on the banks of the Nile in Luxor. This suited us very well, as we hadn't had much breakfast. The location of the buffet restaurant right on the Nile was great. We were picked up by our boat for the Nile cruise right at the restaurant and, after a short ride, taken to the other side of the Nile where our driver was already waiting. On the way to the Valley of the Kings we made a short photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon and reached the Valley of the Kings while most of the tourists were still having lunch. Since Kalaf was not allowed to explain things in the tombs, he explained everything to us in the air-conditioned entrance building to the Valley of the Kings using photos and gave us recommendations on which tombs to visit. Afterwards we were able to look at the almost deserted tombs in peace. Finally, on Kalaf's recommendation and at our request, instead of the Hatsheput Temple we went to the ruins of an old workers' village with a small temple with very beautiful wall paintings. We were the only guests there. About our tour guide Kalaf: He is simply great, tells stories in a really exciting and interesting way, so that even our children listened attentively and also remembered a lot of his stories. Before his time as a tour guide he was a professor of Egyptology. As such he explains many exciting details in the meanings of the hieroglyphs, the Egyptian gods and where you can still find them in our language today. The lecture was always interesting and focused on the main points without overloading it with the names of gods and pharaohs. Overall, I can only recommend asking for Kalaf as a tour guide when booking through Europa Reisen. Our two drivers brought us safely back to the hotel and on the way back they got us some cold drinks and chips for the children.

Very well organized trip to Luxor - the booking process is quick and easy, good contact via WhatsApp. Our driver Michael is the best! Fast but safe ride, the journey with him is also a pleasant part of the trip. Our guide, Nazar, is an Egyptologist - he not only told us history but also explained many interesting details. Very competent tour guide, answered all of my husband's questions with pleasure. Recommended!

Organizing and making everything possible at reasonable prices is the program here.We were in Luxor yesterday on a privately guided tour. The driver of the modern car spoke English, the trained Egyptologist as city guide spoke German. Quick arrival, no waiting times. Nile cruise with fruit plate, other more beautiful tombs than on the hotel tours. The country and life are explained. I now know what my name looks like in Egyptian sign language. 😅We were able to decide for ourselves what we would prefer to see. The Karnak Temple and the Street of the Sphinx left a huge impression. The price is always cheaper than with other providers. 💰I can also recommend the Hurghada city tour, horseback riding, quad biking and swimming in Sharm el Naga.Thank you Europa Reisen Hurghada! You are a pearl in Hurghada tourism.

A wonderfully successful private excursion. We were picked up from the hotel on time and our driver took us safely and quickly to Luxor with breaks. During the journey he told us a lot about the Bedouin village and the town of Quina as we drove through and were able to see everyday Egyptian life. Our guide met us in Luxor; he was a very friendly and experienced person who was happy to listen to everything and who planned the day according to our wishes. First we set off on the East Nile to the Karnak Temple, then we took a 30-minute boat ride on the Nile to West Thebes, where we visited a lovely restaurant and had a local lunch - very tasty! Then we went on to the Valley of the Kings, where we visited three tombs and then to Deir el-Schelwit, a wonderful alternative to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. All in all a really great excursion with impressions of various wonders of the world.
